I've been visiting my daughter since Friday nite for Mom's weekend at her school. Unfortunately, we enjoy eating out. I had good intentions this weekend, but they have pretty much flown out the window.
I'm going to try to recap what i've eaten so far this weekend.
Friday all day I was good. Even had a popcorn in the car on the way here. However, we went to Olive Garden for dinner. I had what I thought was not too bad, the mixed grill. It was skewered chicken and steak with veggies and some 'tuscan potatoes'. I also had 1 bread stick and the salad. When i looked it up online that meal, probably because of the potatoes, was pretty high points. However, potatoes are core... just whatever oils used to prepare and 3 pts for the breadstick.
Saturday morning I started out fine. Had oatmeal and a banana from the hotels free breakfast. Avoided the muffins and bagels. Lunch was a breaded chicken breast with angel hair pasta, veggies and a sauce. I ate it all. They had a small pecan roll instead of a dinner roll, and a chocolate mousse. Ate it all.
We went shopping and then had a late dinner at the TExas Roadhouse. I had never been there. I had a light beer, salad with light ranch dressing, ribeye steak and a sweet potato with butter. At least i skipped the caramel and marshmallow they offered me for the potato! Wow. And I had one of the fresh rolls with the cinnamon honey butter. Oink. I ate a couple of my daughters fries because she didn't touch them.
This morning i am waiting for her to awake. I've been down to the free breakfast 2x already. i had a real bagel with a packet of peanut butter. I went back and got a bowl of oatmeal which I am in the middle of now. We are going to take her boyfriend to lunch, who knows what lies ahead for me there. And husband is waiting for me to get home for dinner. Lot's of eating planned for the rest of the day....
So far I've avoided having a blizzard, but maybe on my way home????
I'm wondering if i should skip weighing on tuesday, but i'm not sure of the purpose in that. Just to keep me from being depressed? Hmm.
