I had been stalled. 190.2 for 3 weigh ins. I wanted to get to that -30 mark, just 0.2 lbs. short and I just couldn't do it! So last week I decided i would try core. I noticed that alot of the foods I was eating were core anyway. As long as i could have a piece of fruit or a popcorn whenever I wanted, I figured I could stick it out.
Turned out I really like polenta! The first day I made it from scratch, having the mushy cornmeal in a bowl for breakfast and putting the rest in a pan in the fridge for later. I love cornbread so it figures I would like the polenta and cornmeal mush. The rest I had with eggs and canadian bacon for breakfast. Just slice it and fry it in the pan. Like it with pineapple salsa on top! Yummy! I found the premade polenta at World Market, it is more solid than what I made and easier to slice. I will try making it again from scratch, maybe it needs to be cooked longer or something. I can also have potatoes for b'fast if i want. I've been having my potato at dinner, I'm loving baked potatoes or tonite, I had a baked sweet potato. I'd like to try to make fries with both the regular and sweet potatoes, too.
Tonite at the meeting, Marie figured out my next 10%. I said, I think that's a ways away. Turns out it is 179, which is only a little over 7 lbs. Doable. I think maybe I should change my stg to that, I now have it at 175. That is the lowest I was last time I did lowcarb, in 2005, I think. Need to check my other journal I kept at the time.
