We've been having cold, wintery weather for several weeks. Most of us are already tired of it! Once Christmas is over, I'm ready for spring! But it will probably be another long, cold winter.
One of the bright spots is that there are some pretty occurances during winter. This cardinal was perched in my Hawthorn tree in the front of the house this morning.

very cool photo. my mom had a tree in her yard with berry-like reds that the cardinals loved. is this photo the fall-side or the spring-side of winter? i would guess fall-side.
